Elevate Youth Sports Campaign

We aim to renovate our Gymnasium and adjacent Multipurpose Youth Hub in 2025, so we can offer activities ranging from competitive basketball and ping pong tournaments to wellness programs, Chinese cultural events and workouts for seniors.

We have not renovated many areas of the gym for decades. Your donation can help us with these improvements:
• Sand and refinish hard wood gymnasium flooring; little feet need grip!
• Paint walls and bleacher stands; let’s feel pride in our gym!
• Replace basketball backboards; help our youth slam dunk it!
• Add posters, logos and decorations that celebrate Asian Americans in sports and our home basketball teams!
• Install protective padding on walls to ensure greater safety!
• Replace the scoreboard and boost pride for our home team!
• Improve ventilation to make the gym more comfortable place to play in during hot summer months!

We are also excited to create a Multipurpose Youth Wellness Hub adjacent to the gym, which will support our new wellness programming for teens and their families. Help us design the perfect space to hold our culturally competent, bilingual wellness classes on mental health, confidence building, decision-making and communication.

We appreciate any amount you can contribute to our campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to your questions regarding our school. Our staff will be happy to assist you with addressing any other questions.

What's the age requirement for the Chinese program?

Kids from 5 to 18 years old are welcome to start their Chinese learning journey with us!

Does my child need any knowledge of the Chinese language in order to be accepted into the program?

No, it's okay if your child is a beginner. We'll find the right class for them based on their age and any Chinese they already know.

What documents do I need for enrollment?

To sign up, please bring your child's birth certificate for age verification, your photo ID, and three 1-inch square photos of your child for their student ID and school records.

What is the difference between the weekday and weekend programs?

Weekday Program: Classes run Monday to Friday. For Kindergarten to 5th Grade, class time runs from 3:20 – 5:10 p.m., and for 6th to 9th Grade, class time is from 4:30 – 6:20 p.m. This option offers more frequent class sessions that will develop steady progress for the students.
Weekend Program: Held only on Saturday mornings, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., making it a great choice for busy families. However, it requires completing more semesters to match the progress of finishing a typical school year in the weekday program due to fewer classroom hours.

Do you offer Mandarin or Cantonese classes?

Yes, we teach both Mandarin and Cantonese across all grade levels. For our youngest learners in Kindergarten and 1st Grade, classes focus on either language, allowing you to choose the best fit for your child upon enrollment.
